CEO Sean Kim
  • Mr. Sean Kim was appointed as CEO of DL Energy in 2013 when it was first established. He is now Vice Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of DL Chemical and DL Energy respectively, leading the IPP business development and Petrochemical Business. Based on his extensive experience more than 20 years in the fields of business development, M&A, investment and management at SoftBank Venture capital Korea and BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking, he has brought diverse experience to DL Energy. He graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in business administration and received his MBA at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

Kajin Kim
  • Mr. Kim, the team leader of Strategy & Planning Team, graduated Kyung Hee University with degree in law and even earned master of law from the same university. With this background, he is the professional in the field of legal part, compliance, internal audit, and fair trade. Prior to joining DL Energy in 2016, Mr. Kim built his career in energy business by working as a legal manager at Shinpyeongtaek Power Company, which is a joint venture of Korea Western Power Co., and GS Energy. While he was working at Shinpyeongtaek Power Company, his major duties were related to power plant construction and LNG trading. Moreover, he was a legal manager who was responsible for leading project about building LNG terminal and establishing policies at Boryeong LNG Terminal, a joint venture of SK E&S and GS Energy. Moreover, when he worked at SK E&S, he was wholly in charge of several projects named ‘Hanam-Misa Combined Heat & Power project’, ‘Wirye District Energy Project’, ‘Gimchoen combined Heat & Power project’, and so on. In addition to above-mentioned projects, he strengthened his knowledge by working as a legal manager at City Gas Company, such as Yeongnam energy service, Chungcheong energy service, and Chungnam energy service. About his past work experience, he was a legal part leader who was in charge of internal audit in audit team of Lotte Group.

  • Mr. Michael Hwang joined DL Energy as a project development manager in October 2015. Before joining DL Energy, he worked over 10 years in Transaction Services at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Korea and Australia, the biggest accounting firm in both nations. Moreover, the projects he joined at Samil PwC are including, but not limited to, Oman Barka3/Sohar2 IPP project (KEXIM), Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit (Kookmin Bank), Yong-In Light Rail Transit (Shinhan Bank), and Daegu Dongbu 4th Beltway (Macquarie Korea Infrastructure Fund). Furthermore, he also worked for Samsung Engineering and Nike in Korea and Ernst & Young at Palo Alto office in US.

Jongwoo Kim
  • Mr. Kim is an in-house counsel and a leader of a legal part. Before joining DL Energy, he worked for Shin & Kim, Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, and Ernst & Young. At Shin & Kim, one of top five law firms in Korea, he advised and represented clients in the field of overseas construction projects. Thus, his clients varied from IPPs, lenders to EPC contractors. While he was working at Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, a major EPC contractor in Korea, he built his career as an in-house counsel. At Ernst & Young, as an accountant, he performed financial due diligences and provided advisory services for various M&A and foreign direct investment deals.

  • Mr. Lee joined DL Energy on Oct. 2019 as a team leader of Global development business. He has more than 20 years of solid experience in global power business development across the entire power business value chain from the Turbine and EPC to IPP and M&A. Prior to joining DAELIM, he served as a group leader at POSCO Energy, taking the lead of overseas IPP development in South-East Asia, MENA, and Africa region and a director of AES-VCM in Vietnam and Palapye Power GL in Botswana. Moreover, he has succeeded in numerous power EPC projects before building his career in IPP business, such as working at Samsung C&T as a proposal manager. Additionally, when he has made great achievements in UAE, Indonesia, and subsequently moved to GE, as a commercial director, he has even closed the multiple transactions with buyers in various countries. To gain profound insights, he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with mechanical engineering as sub-major at Sungkyunkwan University.

Myoung Won(John) Kang
  • Having over 25 years of experiences in the energy market, Mr. Kang is an expert in areas related to project development for conventional as well as renewable, execution, and O & M with experiences across Asia Pacific (China, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Lao PDR, etc.) and Latin America. Prior to joining DL Energy, since 1993, Mr. Kang had spent more than 20 years as plant engineer for 900MW CCPP & 3GW coal fired power plant, plant asset manager for 3GW CCPP and various IPP projects development as well as execution at Korea Electric Power Corporation and Korea East-West Power Co. Since 2014, Mr. Kang had been in charge of heading IPP projects development for coal, gas, hydro, wind, and solar projects at LG International. Moreover, about his educational background, Mr. Kang earned two Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 2002 from Korea University and in Project Management from University of New South Wales, Australia in 2011. From Oct, 2018, Kang has led IPP project development mainly across Asia Pacific at DL Energy and played a key role as Project Director for various IPP investment opportunities in Bangladesh.

  • Vice President Mr. Jongoh Kim graduated from Yeungnam University with a degree in mechanical engineering and went on to study at Sogang Business School where he received his MBA. He built his career in construction for 20 years, with a focus on power plant EPC tender and business. These past 10 years have seen him in the power generation investment sector, leading the Pocheon Combined Cycle Power Plant project to a successful completion. And had responsible for the Poseung Biomass Power Plant project in Korea.

  • From 2013 to 2014, Mr. Bonghee Lee worked for Samsung Engineering in Korea and obtained an MBA degree from Soongsil University. While he was in Samsung Engineering, his position was commissioning manager of SLP 200MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, commissioning and operation manager, PTW (permit to work) manager of Norte Ⅱ 450MW Combine Cycle Power Plant, and commissioning manager, Moreover, he also participated in the first Mexico Project of KEPCO from 1992 to 2013 and was in charge of various tasks: a specialist for Steam Turbine Diagnosis, supervisor of operation and management at KEPCO Research Institute, specialist in the field of steam turbine diagnosis for KEPCO, Korea Genco’s power plant in Korea and abroad Taean 1000MW unit 5&6 Coal Fired Power Plant, Korea commissioning and operation of turbine/generator, boiler and their auxiliaries, shift leader of operation department, diagnosis of technical issues of Yeong-weol 400MW Coal Fired & Combined Cycle Power plant, Korea operation of turbine/generator, performance engineer, and operation management.

  • During his more than 19 years’ experience in the power sector, Mr. Jung has successfully designed, constructed, developed and operated private power projects in Korea and across the globe such as the United States, Australia, Chile, Pakistan, Jordan, Mexico, Senegal and so on.

    Having a strong engineering background, he worked for DL Chemical Company, which is a top-class global EPC company, before joining DL Energy. His previous experience covers combined cycles, coal fired power plants, and hydroelectric powers ranging from 40 MW to 1,800 MW with the in-depth expertise.

    Currently, as a leader of Project Management Team, Mr. Jung takes the lead on the overall management for the entire domestic operation assets of DL Energy.

  • Mr. GD Jung is in charge of the technical team supporting overseas and domestic projects for the technical matters. He has overall technical understandings in combined cycle, coal fired, renewable and biomass power plant. Furthermore, his technical knowledge covers power plant basic design, configuration, performance, main equipment and balance of plant system. Based on these technologies, he has been involved in many development projects across the globe.

    He started his career in Hyundai Heavy Industries as a power plant engineer. He experienced various types of power plant as a proposal manager in many different countries, and held the position of a MENA regional manager at the Dubai branch office of Hyundai. In 2015, he joined DL Energy.
