Niles CCPP (USA)

DL Energy invested in the Niles CCPP along with Indeck Energy Services (Indeck) and Korea Southern Power Co. (KOSPO). Niles CCPP has a nominal capacity of 1,085 MW, and the total investment in it is US$1.05 billion. Also, Niles CCPP is expected to be in commercial operation in 2022.

The plant is located in city of Niles, Michigan State, approximately 100 km east of Chicago. Moreover, Kiewit was selected as the plant’s engineering, construction, and procurement contractor for the General Electric 7HA.02 turbines. The plant will sell the electricity to largest electricity market in North America that stretches over Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Maryland (PJM).

Furthermore, DL participates in the asset management of the Niles CCPP through Indeck Niles Asset Management, LLC which is owned and operated by the same equity investors with an equal ownership of 33.3%, respectively.
